Fitzgerald Dear Reader, The job of recording a year of events and people into a lifetime of memories is no small task. To us a yearbook, annual, or whatever, is something that can take four years of maturation and freeze the times, the people, and the teachers into an anthology that can be taken to whichever corner of the world any one of us chooses to inhabit. As all of us have realized, at one point or another, dreams are usually left unfulfilled. There always seems to be a pin to pop every bubble. But in our case we rebounded from every burst with another balloon. We all want everything and expect nothing short of perfection; however, we failed to escape the eter nal struggle between reality and dream. The trials and tribulations of such a monumental task played with our emotions like most people play with a yoyo. The dichomoty of feeling, failure versus success, pushed us to the brink of quitting on a number of occasions. We were luckier than most, because even in our darkest hour we had the support of some of the greatest people in the world. The hours donated by the likes of Tom Jaegger, Brian Fitzgerald, Tom Tully, and Annie Tiger were priceless. These were not the only ones, there was Jean Laughlin, Andy Martelon, Jay Tierney and Pam Feely. Then there was Tom Cahill, who is to be next year ' s Editor; Elonide Caldwell, who did all of our correspondence; Cindy Press and Les Keys who did all of our typing; to each of these people we extend our deepest gratitude. Like always, thank yous are irreconcilably juxtaposed with th e apologies. We must apologize to Pat Barron and the Siger Ski Club for failing to cover the organization of the year; we apologize to Alpha Kappa Psi for failing to cover the largest organization on campus; and we extend our apologies to all underclassmen and seniors who through mix-up or screw-up are regretfully omitted. And a blanket apology to cover any other lapse in coverage, including Mike Gorrell and the Brawn and Gold. This has been a year that has seen many things come and go and others neither came nor went. We understand that an Editor is akin to the captain of a ship, but there isn ' t a ship in the world that can move without some form of engine. The engine that moves a yearbook is pictures; the one thing that neither came nor went. For this we owe the photography club no favor. We also wonder where the Rapid Omega went, and hope Lambert of England enjoys it, one camera that did come and go. All in all this is one experience that neither of us will forget or regret. Nor will we forget anyone and everyone involved. The book in its entirity is as much ours as it is yours; and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed making it. Sincerely, â– Ajlm ( jUa — — Joe Press Bill Callahan -% • =sr- - -,â–  - , 4% m m •W — _ -r- - — ' « MA -Â
