Some of us sat down and discussed how we viewed Regis in 1975 and concluded there was something different, you could even say special about Regis. It is a women ' s institution founded by women, run by women, for women. I ' ve seen some women ' s institutions, for financial reasons, sacrificing one of their most unique claims in the halls of academia, go co-ed. We hope that Regis does not take that route, and believe that there is a need for an all-women ' s institution in these times. More recently we have seen women being given more responsibility: some accepting, some declining, some not even caring. What better place is there to assert ourselves as women than in an academic setting dedicated to the education of female minds. We ' ve had good days and bad, met with both cooperation and indifference. But we ' ve tried to put together a book of what Regis is: a collection of our thoughts, a collection of colors, many filtered, many varying shades. Some of you will just breeze through this book, others will take time . . . But, we all leave a mark here — even if it only be our initials scratched on a desk top.
