Library Soil ' s Ancient, Modern Seed of Wisdom Modernistic Library, housing reading facilities, carrells, seminar rooms and language laboratories , pro- vides cheerful setting for academic pursuits. The Newman and the Philatelic collections are displayed here, too. W ' ith a perennial watch over the campus, the Norman Tower symbolizes Regis strength and virtue. Years have seen a gradual growth and the protectorate has extended since Regis College opened her doors in 1927 . The Tower was part of the Morrison estate, purchased by Mother Mary Domi- tilla as the site for the first Catholic resi- dent college for women in the Archdiocese of Boston. Called Peak Hall, the Morrison home housed a chapel, classrooms and dormi- tories during the hrst year. Now known as Regis Hall, this building is used for socials and workshops.
