(j£x_ £ Special thanks to Borden, Inc. for the use of their Cracker Jack® logoQJlAjLjOLA C u3 2 WHAT IS CRACKER JACKS 1® . . . a box filled with candy coated popcorn, peanuts and a prize. ® AND WHAT IS REGINA? . . . a school filled with students and faculty, events, social gatherings, and a spirit of unity. Symbolically, Regina is like a box filled with Cracker Jacks.® Each ingredient represents a different aspect of Regina life. THE POPCORN is the main ingredient. It represents the students, faculty and staff that fill Regina. Like popcorn, we come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors, and textures. A small kernel is like a Freshman, eager to be popped. Throughout her four years at Regina, she is continuously exploding in self discovery. To top it all, the sugar-coating makes the popcorn special, with a unique flavor. THE PEANUTS Poatv -K«w - ■ ntCf- ViiAimr'W -A- Vvu V CaA Coto rv tO; : • are those extra morsels which add excitement to the popcorn. They represent special events, plays, Bolivian Fairs, and basketball games, that add life to an ordinary day at Regina. If you were to spill that contents of a box of Cracker Jacks® out, the peanuts would be few in number compared to the popcorn. Yet, the peanuts are packed with flavor and spirit and are also dipped in the same sugar-coating that makes them so sweet and special. THE PRIZE is intangible, and each of us received a different prize from Regina. You may treasure those memories of extra-ordinary events, or the close friends who shared so much, or the tremendous amount of school spirit, visible at a basketball game. Your prize is whatever makes Regina special to you. This is Regina in a Cracker Jack® box. We believe it to be taste-full. With our compliments, dig in and enjoy . 3 FRESHMEN 7 HOMEROOM 115 Front row: Valerie Moore, Marianne Hames, Suzie Duran, Deanne Sample, 2nd row: Kerry Flandrick, Sue Devaney, Kathy Shea, Beth Bohrnstedt, Vickie Gaylord, Michelle Floersch, 3rd row: Ann Waczak, Martha Muller, Mary Jo Jacobs, Merry Beth O'Daniel, Kathy Frenzel, Sr. Rosemary Stoltz. 4th row: Julie Kasbohn, Kathy Jakubic, Mary Mondry, Dawn Johnson, Janet Zylka. Beneath the laughter, hustle and bustle, and crazy momments, lay the dedication to our cause. This year Regina students worked hard to help the Dominican Sisters in Bolivia, working to educate the poor. 87 MARATHON Walking, jogging, and biking was fun, The money was well earned when the day was done. Through rain, sleet, snow or hail, Regina girls will never fail! 88 Take THEIR picture!!! Cookie decorating, card designing, and popcorn stringing were just a few of the charitable activties that took place at Regina's Third Annual Alternative Christinas. This year the entertainment traditionally provided by the Senior class, was The Carol Burnett Show Her guests included celebrities such as the Osmond Brothers, Barry Manilow, and many more. Hot chocolate and fresh fruits wanned the hearts and filled the stomaches of all. Another success, involving both school and community. Through peer training we had the privilege of hearing Dr. Jim Kern from Winona State University. His vigor and enthusiasm overhelmed us, brought tears to our eyes, and roused our spirits. Dr. Jim Kern one woman show A 'first' at Regina in this 1977-1978 school year has been the inauguration of the Senior One Woman Art Show. The purpose of the show is a culmination of a students' involvement in any art form and medium over the span of the past four years. Participation in the show is indicative of an individuals' creative ability and the initiative to compile the coomplishments of their artistic growth in the time here at Regina. This years senior participants were Cathy Felix; Becky Hafner; Sue LeClair; Kelly Hoglund; Maureen O'Tolle; Carol Peters and Marie Judd. The modern technological forces, not lessening however, the pace of living, is giving more impetus to leisure time and self-growth through self-directed creative endeavors. Creativity expands as formative choices are made in young adult life. At Regina, we want to have a part in this endeavor! Sr. Denisia Ahern ART DEPARTMENT 91 1978 STATE RUNNERS-UP This was quite a year for the Regina Basketball team. An aggressive defense, scoring offense, team unity and mainly determination ]ed this years RAIDERS to the State Tournament. After two impressive wins over St. Cloud Apollo and Hi11-Murray the RAIDERS found themselves in the final championship game. With the support of what were considered, the most enthusiastic and greatest fans at the Tourney behind them, the RAIDERS came home with the State Runner-up Trophy. The tournament was a fantastic experience for everyone involved and will remain in our hearts and minds forever. ■j I £+3 iq I CJ r 2G-f f ft f b 5- Hspz Vour yQjar co,- qood • RAIDER MANIA 93 4Ll Pojm ux jfeaA . jjyjj nxoA Dm. fojcu ruQht __ tifPW)A (y k zutehx ioc ) jfc lifl iw O Z£ 0TWi e S) IahIP M clAjimrui JU Z £ Aad o rmpMPwi iMhfyailu£ QjWA Q }) M)pd CQjr Freshmen: We're dog-gone proud of you. % wy)d q c cQamx nvwsi cm ih MmJicm. 94 Sophomores: Wal-rus love you.
