education VVC i'lnzllly scored a point. In the new physicsmhemistry class, enterprising freshmen ex- periment. An unknown donor at the Christmas Party seems to be asking Grace Smith, How tbout a nice Hawaiian Punch:w F oreword A pattern is anything which is designed to be a model for something else. As such, patterns of education fall into many categories Beginning with the classroom, they extend through extra- curricular and social activities to those of a cultural and socially entertaining nature, Ail of these help to form us in one way or another. The ctassroom guides our intellectual development, giving us facts and thoughts which promote an interest in knowledge. Through extra-curriculars we learn the basis of co-Opcration with others in working towards a goal. We attain social poise by associa- tion with others both in and out of school. Since there are many things in life which we dontt understand, cultural activities can point to solu- tions of many of these. On the lighter side, entertainment helps us to enjoy all of the other things moret Each of these contributes to our development, and so should be important to us now as well as later.

This high degree of perfection is demonstrated in the quality of their performances each year. In addition to working towards hne per- formances, Mr. Mecklenborg also develops in the students an appreciation and understanding of a great variety of music. With Characteristic humility he would disclaim any praise acknowledging him. For this reason, we dedicate this yeafs book of memories to Mr. Cletus Mecklenborg.
