THROUGH THE HALLOWED HALLS of Regina High School have passed many people, both young and old. Yet none seems so deserving of men- tion or praise right now as our own dear Sister Mary John. Chosen as Regimfs missionary for the 1963-64 school year, Sister has been stationed in Chile for seven years now. Armed With faith and courage, Sister, along with three of her compatriots, arrived in Santiago in 1.957 With the following orders: U to teach in St. Gaspafs, a boys, school directed by the Fathers of the Precious Blood in Chile, and 2y I to begin a convent for native sisters. Sister then set out to conquer the hearts and the souls of the Chilean population. Her weapons included patience, love, understanding, hope, and an ever-present and unwavering faith. The obstacles Which threatened to overcome her were many and varied, but Christ was the Victor. Through the ceaseless and untiring efforts of Sister Mary John and her companions, the Mystical Body of Christ has gained many members. For these reasons, it is With great pride and pleasure that to you, Sister Mary John, we dedicate this edition of the 1964 ANCILE. For you have created a sunrise in the lives of many thousands of people. -, You have filled their hearts and minds With the knowledge of GocPs truths and given them a chance to participate fruitfully in the Mystical Body of Christ, so that when their sunset comes they may return to God, whence they came. , '99 'A'FK 3311 y ,
