Science Club Science, an important key word of the future, has a strong back- ground in Reginian lite. With St. Albert the Great as their patron, the members ofthe Albertus Magnus Science Club direct extra-curricular science activities in the school and show the growing interest of tomorrow's citizens in the scientific world. Right: The breaking of the pinata-To symbolize the joy of Mary and Joseph at having found shelter, a gaily decorated earthen vessel filled with candy and gifts for the children is suspended from the ceiling of the home that admits the pro- cession.' One by one, a blind- folded child is given o turn at trying to break the vessel, or pinata. Here Mary Ellen Mack seems to be having suc- cess. Then each child scram- bles for a gift which has fallen from the pinata. Right: As part of the Mexican Christmas party, the club mem- bers were served Chilean punch made by Mary Ellen Mack and Mexican wedding cake, made by Judith Griswold. Thale Schumacher a r r a n g e d the Christmas centerpiece of Ameri- can holly and candles. Mary Alice Finke, Martha Larmann, Thale Schumacher, Mary lmm, Judy Young, Nancy Gruber, and Mary Ellen Mack are shown around the table.
