E a SOCIAL STUDIES It is in the department of social studies that Regina especially stresses Christian Social Principles, Courses in history, government, geography. and sociology are offered in the upper classes. An acquaintance with history enables students to interpret the present world situation in the light of the past whether ancient, medieval, modern European, or American. Geography has its place in helping people to understand their environments. Governments with their many changing roles find their best form in our federal system. The needs of our fellowmen and how to help them as expressed in SERVICE forms the basic principle in sociology. Modern history and sophomore world history are taught by Miss Tuttle. Miss Nicholas teaches the senior world history classes and one in United States history. Sister Clarita has four United States history classes.
