The Fulfillment of a Dream Regina High School first opened its doors in September 1963. It was the realization of along held wish on the part of many for Catholic secondary education in Midland. The Dominican Sisters of Adrian came to staff the school, and Sister Noreen Marie O,P, was appointed principal, Sr, Ellen Louise was Assistant Principal for the first two years and played a big part in the organizing and success of Regina's choir. Regina's first year held many programs and activities that were provided for and organized by the '76 Freshmen and Sophomores who occupied it. In it's second year 143 Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors picked up where the first year left off. In the fall of '66 the halls were filled with 178 students from all four classes. 1966 brought Regina's first Graduating Class. ,313-T'

Regina Qwes Much to Sister Noreen Marie , E7 Senior, Kathy Kelly is presenting Sr. Noreen Marie with roses from the Senior class in appreciation for all she did for them during the year. The roses were presented to Sister at the Rose, Candle Cere- mony. It is to Sister Noreen Marie that we wish to dedicate this first yearbook, THE DIADEM, It is due to Sister's patience, perseverance, and ha.rd work that Regina is what it is today. In dedicating this book we wish to acknowledge the great debt we owe her. Sister has spent many long hours working in the office during the last three years on the accredi- tation of Regina, and many other duties that have caused many head- aches. 4 9 I
