In preparation for future responsibilities as citizens, the young ladies of Regina are required to take history along with their other selected courses. The people's inalienable rights guaran- teed by the U. S. Constitution, and their corres- ponding duties, are pointed out. A right to vote, for example, presumes an obli- gation to know how to vote. Hence class discus- sions revolve around the political views of candi- dates for various offices and the platforms of political parties. Today's problems -- such as integration -- are studied by the students participating in the Junior Round Table and Brotherhood Week. America's methods of solving timely problems are learned through mock assemblies, especially the Model United Nations held at U. of D. in April. Current events are stressed daily through dis- cussions of newspaper articles, newscasts, and T. V. Because history repeats itself, the wise benefit from the mistakes of others.
