To the student body and faculty I wish to extend my sincere appreciation for your cooperation in carrying out our school policies with a mutual benefit for all. 1 am indebted to Rev. Charles R. Brewster for the following quotation which I would like to pass on to you for your consideration: Education is the hope of youth: Youth is the hope of democracy: Democracy is the hope of 'America: America is the hope of the world: But only a Christian America can ever realize that hope. The world of tomorrow depends on the youth of today. We hope that your stay in Refugio High School will create a desire to serve and to fill a helpful place in the world. Sincerely, PRINCIPAL, REFUGIO SENIOR HIGH. Her crystal ball can tell us much. As we gaze into this crystal ball we see that David Jaso has just received an award for the mOSl perfect built man in the- world. It seems that Dorothy Creel is still looking for a sailor who is looking for a wife. But any soldier. marine, merchant marine, coast guard, or Boy Scout will do! as well. Do you hear that laughing? It sounds so familiar. Into our ball steps Edilia Perales-yes. after all these years sbe's still laughing in that same old way We have our Swamie ask her what's so funny' this time and she replies, I just cau ht on t of th ' k M' k told in our Senior English class back in '52. g o one e jo es ic ey Bobby Vv'ilpitz is now famous for his invention: of a new shaving cream. Ann Bailey. better known as Peanut by her classmates, has just informed her architects to design a trillion dollar peanut factory in honor of her beloved nickname. What comes next is of no surprise to us. Ida Elizalde is happily married--with four children. Her only complaint is that she lost her girlish figure. A tall. slim figure in .white. Why. it's Bobbie Jean Young. Oh. she's crying. We have an idea that it's because she no longer has the nicest smile in the history of R. H.
