POINTER, Surnnurrxzvnmrr REFUGIO , TEXAS R H RENFR0 TEENY D ADKINS L PRINCIPAL OF B I wish to congratulate the Annual Staff, Sponsor, Student Body, Faculty Members, Local Merchants, and everyone else that contributed in any way towards the completion of this Annual. With this spirit of cooperation, which has made poss- ible this edition of the Bobcat Chant, the whole educational program of Refugio will go forward. You are richer today if you have thought more in terms of Wthyselfn than Wmyself', if you have learned to dis- count things which really do not count, if you have been a little blinder to the faults of others, and if you have looked for the best in others and given the best in you. This same spirit of cooperation will help to achieve the Objectives in our philosophy of education. The work of compiling information and records for this year book will be something each student of Refugio should be justly proud of. - am Q

REFUGIO PUBLIC SCHOOLS A. R. POINTER, SUPBIIIITENDII1' REFUGIO , TEXA S R. H. RENFRO TEENY D, cnux. or mon scnoor. To the Students and Faculty: Pnxncxru. or E Again the time has rolled around for the students to begin to wonder whether they paid their deposit on an annual last fall whether they will share in the excitement on the new annuals when the prize package of the year is opened. But--let's look at the other side. In your eager anti cipation and anxiety, have you stopped to think who makes the book possible? Did you ever stop to consider how many headaches Miss Rice, your editors and staff members have ha hounding students and teachers to have their pictures made, planning a dummy for the book, pasting pictures and panels, meeting deadlines with shipments, getting messages written, selling ads, and preparing write-ups. Have you noticed how many hours are put in by staff members before school, after school, between classes during noon, over week-ends and holidays on the bookf When you open your new annual, consider these factsg look for the nice features in the book, tell the staff how much you appreciate their efforts. May I suggest that you read Henry Yan Dyke's, WMy Lifen, then con- gratulate your annual staff. Sincerely, AQAMQZAP d
