Coach Mike Richmond. The girls’ varsity basketball team finished a close sec- ond behind powerful Portage in South Central Confer- ence action. Their 15-5 record included 4 losses to Portage, two in conference, one non-conference, and one tournament game as well as a loss to Ithaca. The team’s strengths included a balanced scoring effort of all five starters, Nancee Mayer, Sharon Borleske, Kim Reimer, Lisa Herritz, and Lori Ketter. The junior varsity won their conference title losing only a non-conference game against Madison Edgewood. 25
