Daly, Uphoff take Class B Individual Titles First year head coach Greg Trosper had much to be proud of this year as his wrestling Beavers swept the conference 7-0 and the overall season by a 10-0 record. The season started looking like a possible championship year after the team beat the Wis- consin Dells Chiefs, took first in the Waunakee Tournament, and placing second in the prestigious Badger Stage Invitational. Going in to the conference tournament, the Beaver wrestlers defeated every opponent they faced. By this time they had a shut out in the Baraboo T-Birds, taken first in the River Valley Classic, and defeated second ranked River Valley in a dual meet. With much hard work, the Reedsburg team walked away with the conference championship with Tom Daly, Bill Tourdot, Brian Daly, Troy Zietlow, Rob Uphoff, Jim Craker, and Todd Harrison tayking individual titles. Tom and Brian Daly, Tour- dot, Uphoff, Craker, and Harrison advanced through the re- gional competition to sectionals and five advanced to state. Two were crowed champions (T. Daly and R. Uphoff) 2 runner ups (J. Craker and T. Harrison) and one place winner (B. Tourdot) and together won the class B title. 48 15 Sparta 42 21 Ithaca R 30 23 Dells 61 0 Baraboo E 53 9 Deforest E 45 14 Tomah 60 3 Mauston D 48 11 Portage 56 6 Adams-Friendship S 33 17 River Valley B 1st in Conference U 1st in Regionals 2nd 1 in Sectional R 1st in State G 1st Waunakee Invitational 2nd Badger State 1st River Valley Classic 131 The team was welcomed home by a large reception of home fans, and many celebrations were held Girls’ Varsity Softball Team: Front Row: Cin- dy Thorne, Brenda Kissack, Mona Gudensch- wager, Julie Meyer, Cheri Schrank, Rae Kis- sack, Carole Dorn.
