The play takes place in the small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio where Kim, a young girl of 16, is chosen to bestow the final kiss on Conrad before he leaves for the Army. The play is based around the many problems that are faced to achieve this goal. The Almaylue Co. has to overlook that there is a very jealous boyfriend wait- ing just to get his hands on Conrad. Overall, Miss Davis and Rhonda Bentley directed a funny and well liked play. Above: All the phones in Sweet Apple, Ohio are tied up when the news about Hugo and Kim going steady starts to get around. Top Right: Karla Hammer (Mrs. Peterson) de- cides to drop in on Rose and Albert (Brenda Prather and Art Mathews). Oddly enough, neither of them are too excited to see her. spent at Webb. I hope that in the future, this Gleaner can bring bace, in full color, those faded memories from high school as we all grow older and go our separate ways. I would like to take this op- portunity to thank Miss Davis, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Spindler and Mr. Fehrenbach for their help in putting together this year's Gelaner. I would like to thank Mrs. Lehman especially for her Patience, help, and time, which without, there wouldn't be a Gleaner. Lots of Luck in the years to come Editor 1980 Cleaner assistant editor Cindy Thorne and Editor Koren Sullivan As a newcomer to the Gleaner, I enjoyed making up the memories for many of us to treasure. I liked work- ing with Koren Sullivan and Mrs. Lehman to make the Gleaner possible for you. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the making of the Gleaner Cxmd l cyu -SL Assistant Editor Above: Photographers Bill Arbogast, Bill Hamilton, Connie Oetzman, and Mark
