A parade followed the as- sembly and featured the winning Sophomore float, and the Reedsburg Marching Band proudly displayed their new uniforms. A loss to BRF was the days only disappointment. The band split into two groups for concert season, one upperclassmen, the other freshmen. With contest time fast approaching, practice became more intest. Prom and parties all contributed to an exciting junior year. Seconds on float and skits made homecoming a success. In order to raise money for Prom, the juniors went back in time by reenact- ing slave day and auctioning off ju- niors. The team of Alt and Baida made the junior school day unforgettable. Acca- demicallv, the juniors faced tough chemistry and math classes and still came up smiling. And finally, in ath- letics, junior boys and girls provided much of the talent for many successful sports seasons. The girls found their way into the shop, the boys into the home- ec room, and both out planting glowers and shrubs in ornamental horticulture. A first prize homecoming skit and a tremendous bonfire made October a success. Semester ended and several of the seniors left for jobs and school with enough credits accumulated for early graduation. Being measured for caps and gowns, and picking up announce- ments became sign that the end wasn’t far off. The third outdoor graduation in a row was the final goal for the se- nior year. Seniors Carroll Gullick and Claudme Ouellette don’t let a little ram and cold weather stop them from enjoying an early season track meet.
