Head Basketball Coach Physical Education: Mrs DeMerit; Girls Physical Education In- structor. Girls Track Coach. Cheerleading Advisor. Intramural Advisor. Mr Arkin; Boys Physical Education Instructor. Head Football Coach Mrs. Mary Knuth joined the staff of teachers with special skills as a health specialist after practice teaching here first se- mester. She and Mr. Schluenz, special education teacher, formed a youth tutoring youth organization which eventually became a credit program. Phys. Ed expanded its dancing classes to include all students. Juniors and seniors advanced to the fox trot and the jitterbug by third quarters end. A winter ski trip highlighted phys. ed classes for outdoorsmen, and bowling satisfied those who like to spend their w inters inside. Drivers Education was still the most important class for sophomores and by January its graduates started appearing with the magic driving certificates. Driver Education: Mr Lee.
