INDUSTRIAL ARTS BUSINESS EDUCATION AGRICULTURE AND HOME-EC Large increases in enrollment and crowded classrooms marked all areas of vocational education. Many more stu- dents participated in the business co-op program in several new job locations. The agriculture department expanded its enrollment by having Mr. Boone take the sophomore sections. Mr. Geimer con- tinues with freshmen, juniors, and seniors. Nursery school continued to be home ec’s favorite unit. Juniors and seniors selected their home ec courses from semester offerings for the first time. Foundry work continued to be a shop favorite as students molded wall decora- tions and other castings. Business Education: Miss Marilyn Hill, typing, personal typing, shorthand, business machines. FBl.A; Mr Robert Fetsch. office practice bookkeeping. Miss Nancy Brown joined the foreign language department as Spanish instructor. The Latin Class took on a large new project printing a statewide newspaper. They edited, typed, and organized arti- cles submitted by other Latin classes and distributed the newspaper called the ‘Mercurion all around the state. Spanish classes livened up the halls of Webb with assorted incomprehensible, but artistic posters. French classes spent much time preparing for the ever popu- lar Mardi Gras.
