The teachers at Webb take an active part in the various clubs and organizations of our school. Supporting and participating as they do in the various activities of our school, they further their role as collaborators in our Webb High story. Never lacking in initiative, the teaching staff of Webb is to be thanked for the wonderful opportunities it has given the student body. By imparting to us a portion of their knowledge, and instilling in us some of their skills, as well as never failing to lend a helping hand when needed, our teachers have put us on the right track to becoming good citizens and leaders of tomorrow. MU Music adds harmony to our lx ok and enjoyment to our school life. It Ixjgins in the fall with the first snappy note played by the marching band at football games and ends with the last note of Pomp and Circumstance at graduation. Between that first and last note the hands, choir, and orchestra presented several enjoyable concerts for our en- tertainment. The Music Department spends many hours desparately preparing for the Solo and En- semble contest, the highlight of their year. ROW ONE: A. Drea, J. Burg, T. Zuehlke, M. Feuerstein, J. Vinson, M. There's action in our chapter on sports from the first kick- off of the football eleven to the last home-run of the baseball nine. ORTS CHAMPS OF ’62 The exuberence of the team as they carried Coach Holmes off the field was characteristic of the spirit shown by both the players and the cheering section at each game. Everyone was especially happy the night we beat our longtime rival Baraboo. We hated to spoil their Homecoming--but that's the way the football fumbled! Our own Homecoming was a great success. After that, it seemed that the team just couldn't stop scoring. Finally, our win over Portage clinched the SCC crown for Reedsburg. Then more honors were heaped on our team. Seven boys made the SCC all-conference team . Rich LeMoine was named conference scoring champ, with a total of 90 points. Senior Harv Ziech ran a close second. All in all, Reedsburg had a terrific season in 1962, and we can be justly proud of the Beavers. SEASON'S RECORD Sept. 7 Tom ah R.H.S.
