DEDICATION Dear Mr. Hughes, As we Seniors look back on our past four years of high school, we like to think of the musical pleasure we have experienced under your direction. This is true not only for those of us who played in the band, but also for those of us who enjoyed and supported you and the band at football and basketball games, and at concerts and parades. With a Song in Our Hearts the Senior Class presents the 1959 Gleaner. We have chosen as our theme — Harmony. The first thought that comes to our minds when we think of Harmony is Music. Music makes up a big part of everyone's life. When there's Music in the Air, everything seems to go right. Harmony applies not only to music, but to life as a whole. It is achieved by the educated indi- vidual who has learned to get along with others because he has learned to understand and tolerate. In a combined effort with other classes of ‘59, we hope, as we enter a world of discord, to use our talents and the training we received in W.H.S. to contribute in some manner to world harmony.
