TWANtO YOU, UR,. MAYFIELD IN U MORIAM The Seniors lost a good friend and class- mate during their Freshman year. No one will ever forget Wallace Strickert who died October 9, 1955, of bulbar polio. It was a tragedy for ali who knew him, and we have missed Wally through our years of high school. The Senior Class would like to thank Mr. Mayfield for being our helpful advisor throughout our four years of high school. He spent much time and effort helping us with all our major projects, including the Loyalty banq- uets, Homecomings, and Prom.

Dick Buchsteiner, Vice-President; Carol Templin, Secretary-Treasurer; Charles Blue. President SENIOR CLASS HISTORY With the tune of school days, school days running through our heads, we marched into the old Reedsburg High School as freshmen, looking forward to the day when we would be able to sing Gradu- ation Day. But now as we look back in 1959 we wish we could re-capture the thrill and excitement of that first day of high school. Our biggest task as freshmen was to learn to work as a team. To help us get the spirit of being high school students we elected Ron Krohn as president, Dick Buchsteiner as vice-president, and Carol Brimmer as secretary-treasurer. We fondly recall our big events of the year which were the Freshman Bawl initiation, and also the Homecoming festivities in which our class showed it's enthusiasm by winning first place both for our skit and yell. As sophisticated sophomores we began our 1956 school year, very self assured and unable to imagine why we had been considered meek and lowly only a year ago. Our energetic and capable officers were Dick Buchsteiner, president; Dick Schafer, vice-president; and Nila Schreck, secretary-treasurer. This was the year in which our class became very active in school activities and we began working as a team instead of 147 different individuals. This paid off during Homecoming, especially when we won first place on our float and yell. Probably our most exciting, glamorous, and best remembered year of all was our Junior year. Our class rings came the day before Christmas. Our president was Dick Buchsteiner, elected as vice-presi- dent was Bill McCabe, and as secretary-treasurer, Carol Brimmer. Our class took a trip Around the World in 80 Days on April 18 at our Junior prom. Sue Davis and Marvin Laukant reigned as our queen and king. Another highlight of the year was our Junior party at which we honored Mr. and Mrs. Cramer who were leaving. Elected to attend Badger Girl and Boys State were Kay Bates, Dick Buchsteiner and Bill McCabe. We once more took first place in our float and yell at Homecoming. And now as all good things must come to an end so must this, our senior year. But one thing which will never end is the memory of our high school days at Webb High School. 25
