We Dedicate Coach Holmes DEDICATION Just as he has dedicated his time and effort to R.H.S. we, the class of '56 dedicate our Gleaner to Coach Holmes. This year our high school has made history by having its first undefeated championship football team. Much of the credit for this outstanding team is due to the excellent coaching of Nick Holmes. Not only do his football teams shine, but his basket- ball and baseball teams as well. In addition to offering “his boys” instruction, he offers his friendship and guidance to everyone. Both in and out of school Coach sets an example for us all to follow by always practicing good citizenship and sportsmanship. 2

Day after day the tools of learning and thinking have been placed in your hands. As this phase of your formal education draws to an end 1 want to remind you that education is more than school work, and I hope that you will have acquired the following purposes: First—a limitless curiosity to know. Second—an impulse to make your lives count. Third—a technique for finding out what you want to know. Now, as you go forward to ever new and widening horizons I want you to know that your school, your parents, and your friends have great expectations of your future success and wish you the best of everything in anything you may undertake.
