During their Sophomore year, the class had a good sound founda- tion with which to assume the re- sponsibilities they undertook. As juniors, they were Well established in leadership ability. They presented Don,t Take My Pennyv, one of the most successful plays ever given by a junior Class. The ever active class this year, besides giving a play, held a Prom, had a skip day, a Senior Picnic Day and terminated the eventful year with the Baccalaureate Services followed by the graduation of 92 Seniors. On the varsity football team the greatest number of players was from the junior class. Captain FRANK CABRERA Ace Runner '7wc!z '1 RAININC TABLE Reedley bids well to repeat its 1943 sweep of A, B, and C divisions in the league track meet this year. The only loss thus far has been to Dinuba's B team, by 2 points, in a three-way meet. Reedley,s teams are shaping up faster than many others because of a war-born device. Dependance on bus transportation and labor shortage inroads are offset by daily noon workouts which are concentrated, though short. Better diet is achieved by having most of the track men eat lunch at a training table in the cafeteria. In this manner, returning lettermen, as well as grad- uates, replacements, are being better fitted for track competition and whatever the future holds for them, which, we believe, will include many sweet victories.
