Neck and neck battle with Wilmington. We won! District Tourney in Piper City. Braidwood advanced to semi-finals. nGolden boysn, played their last game of the season when they were defeated by Chatsworth. First six weeks exams in new semester. Not bad! Not good! Campaign to keep school and yard neater. Spring basketball practice began. Who's Who in Illinois High Schools? Dorothy Berta and Clemer Corn voted for by students. Seniors decided to wear blue caps and gowns. Reed-Custer applies for a month's supply of fruit. Enjoyed oranges and apples. What next? Senior pictures taken. Spring vacation began. Teachers go home. School again! Westerner Leonard Steinbeck of Salem, Oregon and former student Raymond Marquardt visited classes at Rec. Senior trio sings at Ghilain's. C. Higgins: M. Jack- son and A. Zapotocky. Mr. Blatnik and Senior typists guests of Mr. Leach at Rotary. Music festival. Coach and squad, as guests of Mr. Oswald, attended a pro- fessional basketball game in Chicago. G. Tiknis came home with the Nbaconn by winning a basketball. April Fool's Day! L. A. Purdon moved to Lincoln. Resigned as secretary. Community Chest movie presented by Mr. Bottino. Junior Class party. Miss Hoyler served as a judge in a declamatory contest at Elwood. Basketball round-up at Coal City. Coach Doug Mills and Coach Tom Haggardy guest speakers. Mr. Bottino toastmaster. Six weeks exams. 1 'Sophsn have last party for the year. District typing contest at Hersher. I. Mulligan first place winner. Beginning of baseball season. Seneca defeated by Braidwood. Team was buttered on both sides! - Freshman class party. Gala time! - Braidwood nine defeated Coal City. - Girls' Volley Ball Tournament! Seniors defeated Sophomores A striking blonde appeared in front of the school. There was no holding the Senior boys. Seneca turned the tables by defeating us on our own diamond. Sectional typing contest at Morris. Miss Schoenfield operated on. Substitute teacher, Mrs. Lucia.

Hay laa5f May May May May May May May May May May Senior Play, nThe Merry Haresu, a huge success. Try Holly- wood you Seniors! nSing you girlsln nPlay, band, playin The Music Festival in Dwight. The Seniors finally dish it out to the Freshmen at an initiation party. How was it Freshies? The Senior lettermon and cheerleader sweaters arrive. Seniors are guests of the Juniors in nHollandu. Occasion-- Junior-Senior banquet. Theme--nTulip time in Hollandu. Bakery sale sponsored by Senior lettermen. Graduates are honored by P. T. A. at the high school. Each given a flower. -25 - uGrin and bear itn--nChin upn and all that sort of thing, 'cause semester exams are here. The Junior Class proved themselves excellent hosts and hostesses to the Seniors on the Junior-Senior trip to Springfield. Grade school commencement. Baccalaureate exercises held in high school auditorium. The dignified Seniors in cap and gown are nearing the end of their high school carreer. The Seniors take an outing. The Palisades National Park near Savannah, Illinois was their destination. Commencement. nBui1d for character not for fame. Good Luck II Seniors!
