This year's cross country team went beyond all expectations in winning the league and MCAL meet in Varsity, J.V. and Frosh- Soph, the NCS III in Varsity and Frosh-soph and finishing 8th in the NCS in those divisions. Led by senior Phil Russell and juni- ors Kevin Pusser, Jay Neuhaus, and Tim Taylor, the Varsity was undefeated in dual meet competition, as were the J.Vfs led by Mike Kast, Dick Stoltze, Steve Filante, and George Tripp, and the Frosh-Soph led by Lee Hotchkin, Joe Clark, Phil Skow, and Brian Pusser. Coach Tobiason's prediction of a championship team this year came true and it appears that there will be many more in future years. Passing this Ygnacio runner is Redwood's Jay Neuhaus.
