Ed Lindstrom files the library cards A busy lunch hour for the canteen workers. The library helpers this year consisted of thirty-five students who voluntarily chose to help in keeping the library in order. The students handled all the cheek-outs and check-ins, over- due books, and helped in returning the books to their proper places. The audio center was new this year and there were a number of students that helped in this area. The audio center consists of three tape recorders, an FM tuner, and a record player. There are over one hundred new microphones for the students' use. This new equipment was available for student use nearly every period during the day. Though Redwood's population grew during the last year, the Canteen Staff sufficiently met the needs of the student body. In addition to the old reliables such as hot dogs and hamburgers, yogurt was sold for the first time this year. A larger selection of candy and sandwiches was introduced for the benefit of the students. Canteen workers may either receive credit for the course or be paid. Mr. Tony Russo is in charge of the staff. Clifford Barnett takes a tuna roll from the specially heated drawer.

K 'CS' Mr. Sorrelle and members ofthe Water Ski Club make plans for a coming trip. 5 I ... The Investment Club was added to Redwood's list of clubs and organizations this past year. Mem- bers met Monday and Wednesday at noon each week. The purpose of the club was to increase onels understanding of stock market operations and how current events affect prices. After studying the mar- ket the group purchased shares oftheir own. Investment Club President was Kirk Grey, Vice- President, Joe Enzanspergerg and Secretary-Trea- surer, Bud Broomhead. The club advisor was Mr. Freeman Blake. This year was the second year for Redwood's Archeology Club. The members went on various digs every weekend, including trips to an area in Tiburon where an Indian burial was found. At their meetings they discussed what they found at the last dig , and they talked about where they were going for the next one. The President for the second time was Liz Mur- ray andthe advisor was Mr. John Lighty. The Water-Skiing Club, new to Redwood this year, was a great success. The club began meeting early in the year to discuss future trips and member- ship. The first meeting drew 68 people. To become a member the applicant must go on one of the club's trips and pass a written test to prove his ability as a skier. Most of the trips this year were to Lake Berryessa for one day. However, weekend trips were also planned. Water-Skiing Club officers for this year were: President, Joe Akers, Vice President, Don Wallace, The tools ofthe archeologist. and Secretary, Julie Matthews. The club advisor was Mr. Jack Sorrelle. With a daily income of 52280, it was a profitable idea to carry them again this year. The donuts were sold in the Student Office, by volunteers who offered their services on differ- ent days. There was never a lack of enthusiasm to help selling, and the popularity of the donuts was ever-increasing. The Student Store is operated as a service to the students. Many of the items were sold at discount prices. If any profits were made they went to the Associated Student's General Fund. Last summer the store was split in half to create the new Student Finance Office. The workers in the store were enrolled in the Work Experi- ence program. Many students at Redwood gave one or more free periods a day to work experience. Among the jobs open in work experience were posts in the counseling and attendance offices. The students had several jobs to do. Some collected roll sheets and distributed passes, others took messages and collected passes. The students proved to be a great help to the busy secretaries. Tad Isaacs is assisted by the girls in the Counseling Office. The student store is always busy.
