No, the elves don't come out of the wood- work at midnight. We have a maintenance staff of fourteen who 'fmagicallyw clean up for us. Mr. Meritt E. Robinson is in charge of the clean-up detailf, The members of his band are Mrs. Adrian Hensley, matron, Mr. Arlindo T. Baptista, Mr. Manuel F. De Silva, Mr. John W. Justice, Mr. Milton F. Mancebo, and Mr. Richard C. Pierce. Other members of the staff are Mr. Manuel F. Rosa, Mr. Philip J. Sol- davini, Mr. Viggo Speedtsberg, and Mr. Nat Zarucchi. Mr. Howard Terris makes sure the Uboogey man doesn't get in at night, and Mr. Frank J. Fontes prunes the shrubs. GIANTS RL TO SL CCESSFUL SEAS The 1969 edition of the Giants featured the youth movement. Gone was shortstop Ken Johnson, player of the year and number 2 draft choice of the New York Yankees. Ken Roby moved to that posi- tion to fill the gap left by Johnson. Big Jim Peters was behind the plate in a move to give the pitching staff more help. Big bats in the Giant line-up were Jim Peters, Pete Carroll, Don Mantooth, Ken Roby and Rob Dorinson. Although young, the Varsity Giants tried to improve on last year's 18-7 won - lost record and a third place finish in league play. Pitching played an impor- tant part in the race for the M.C.A.L. title. Roger Smith, undefeated as a sopho- more, was the number l man backed up by Don Mantooth, Larry Hoffman, Tom Wichert and Bill Arthrip.
