Could they follow the co-championship team of last year? The opening game against the Washington l30's was a dis- astrous 39-22loss. The turning point came in the next game when the B's defeated Salesian 42-32. This was the first of a 21 game winning streak which brought the first undisputed B championship to Red- wood. RIGHT' Co-captain Tom Marker puts up ajump shot as Steve Malvino watches. 9 ggi, Y The championship was truly a team effort with the all-around skills of co-captain Tom Marker, the outstanding rebounding of co-captain Bob Piper, the accuracy of Greg Pedlar, the wild drives of Terry Dorais, the pesky Steve Malvino, bustling Steve Wentworth, the fine shooting of Mike Candrian, the passing skill of Bob Zim- merman, the speed and desire of Dennis Carrade, and the cooperation and contri- butions of Gary Levin, Mike DeMartini, Paul Della-Santina, Kirk Radke, Mike Fitch, and Rick Hochschild. The Beeis this year had five members on the All League Team. They were Tom Marker, Greg Pedlar on the first team, Bob Piper and Terry Dorais on the second team and Tom Malvino received an honor- able mention.
