This year Phi Lambda Sigma, Redwood's honorary language club was advised by Mr. Joseph Sullivan and Mr. John Perrotis. The club deals with all languages and to be- come a member each applicant must have an A-M average in their language for the preced- ing five quarters. His other grades must average no lower than a B. Each person who is accepted receives a certificate honoring their membership. Dinners and activities centered around a theme involving a foreign country and its lang- guage were planned and enjoyed by all the mem- bers. Outings such as a bike ride this spring proved to be very successful. Officers for Phi Lambda Sigma this year were: President, Nan Hantzcheg Vice-President, Eileen Blum, Secretary, Nancy Bergren, and Treasurer, Leslie Lehman. The International Club just finished its eighth year. Its purpose is to support the foreign ex- change programs at Redwood. The purpose of the .club was fulfilled by numerous fund rais- ing projects such as their traditional Interna- tional Week and International B21rlql1Gt, where food from many countries was served. At the beginning of the year they had a Hospitality Banquet for the new exchange students. Ending the year's activities was the annual Forest Farms Conference. Here the students had an opportunity to become acquainted with students from foreign countries. Once again the gigantic blue box containing newspapers sat out in the back parking lot-the symbol of the Inter- national Club's newspaper drive. Serving this year as officers were Mollie Squires, President and Lynn Talbot, Vice-President. fa eeyagiizfz 1-:fyfgf-f asf:-an 3 5:5 rf, fry?-,f nyc. 52552, 33 5:56-If fvfliff ff Q :yffif.'ff,f y.wE2' .
