1 CI-IGH? I' ,-...W .. - ' s Choir assembles for dress rehearsal before their big performance During the beginning of the year, something very exciting was taking place at Redwood, something that had never happened here before . . . the production of a musical. lt was Rogers and Hammerstein's famous South Pacific. The task was a tremendous one and was successfully undertaken by the choirs, under the direction of C. Arthur Wigell. Their success was proven by the capacity crowds and Mr. Kreps extended two additional performances for a total of six. South Pacific was a starter for a busy year of activities. No sooner had the show closed than the choirs presented an outstanding performance in the Christmas Concert. On February second, 40 students participated in the Pacific Music Festival of the College of the Pacific and Stockton. ln May, they performed in the State Music Festival, where last year they received an excellent rating. To climax the year they sang in Redwood's annual Spring Concert and at Graduation exercises. ll Lieutenant Cable meets Liat on Bali Hai as Bloody Mary sings Happy Talk. a l P5 f I YJ f ff 6 4 X was X! 4954 ff! fl! 55 ff?
