This year, several trips had been planned for the skilled skiers by president, Bill Wardwell and advisor Miss Myrna Reed. These trips included such places as Mammoth, Yosemite, and the Sugar Bowl. The first trip to the Sugar Bowl was called off be- cause of the lack of snow, but it was rescheduled and it turned out to be a full adventure for the skiers even though a few mishaps occurred during the trip. The officers this year who made the Ski Club such a success were President, Bill Wardwell, Vice President, Ed Bingham, Secretary, Sue Spiller, and Treasurer, Lynn Diamond. The speaker began, To sum it all up, l have found politics very intriguing and rewarding. Thank you for permitting me to talk with you. With this the meeting was adiourned and a small group gathered around the guest. The political club had been in action again. Although they have been in existence little more than a year, the members of the political club have been busy constantly. Through their efforts a continual schedule of activities has been provided for both the student body and the club members themselves. Opportunities were offered by the club to exercise their knowledge on all facets in the wide field of political science and to learn at the same time. Using many catchy yells and intricate routines, they spurred the students to a typically spirited season. Working side by side with the yell-leaders, the Fall song-leaders added color to the already colorful spirit. Entertaining the student body during rallies with well- executed routines and leading the songs at all the football games were Barbie Koons and her group of: Lexie Sifford, Janet Rigsbee, Jo Jennings, Sandy Gray, Cappy CahHL and Usa French. The best example'of the kind of spirit that these two groups promoted could be seen at the Thanksgiving Day Redwood-Tamalpais game. They helped to keep and improve upon Redwood's tradition of card stunts, spirit ribbons, and the enlightening of Spirit Week.
