The Junior class of 1962-1963 was a class well equipped with origi- nality, leadership, spirit, scholastic ability and ambition. The year began with cupcake sales to raise money to finance their float for Spirit Week. Give 'em the Blade,f' the original theme of this spirited class won first place in the inter-class competition and added ten hard-earned dollars to the class treasury. The class had a unique money-making idea when they let Slough Goons overrun the school. Such slogans as, They're coming soon, bring money to pacify them will be remembered by the many Redwoodites who boldly purchased the fuzzy little stuffed animals. At Christmas time the Juniors converted their hall into the world of the Grinch. How the Grinch Stole Christmas, was the theme chosen by the Juniors to wish the student body a Merry Christmas. Again they won first place in the competition and added money to the class treasury. The officers for fall semester were: Pete Holter, president, Don Keller, vice president, Shirl Clark, secretary, and Jennie Lyons, treasurer. Spring of- ficers were: Steve Page, president, Dave Flowers, vice president, Paulette Louis, secretary, and John D'Alessio, treasurer. 34 M if Until Hi f ff fig 'n,v.,n'- ,
