GIRLS' SELF COVER E T PHYLLIS KEARNS, ALICE HANNEL: Fall Co-heads In the American society there is the freedom of self govern- ment, the government of the people. Such is the case with Redwood. The students themselves determine the government of the school. They set up the rules by which they must abide, and elect a president who chooses a body to enforce these rules. The selection of the Self Government Committee is made by the Boys' and Girls' Self Government heads, who are ap- pointed by the newly elected president. The committee then proceeds to enforce the rules of the school. The duties of self government are divided among the two segments of the committee. The boys' responsibilities are es- sentially to patrol the campus to prevent littering of the school, smoking, and cutting. The duties of the members of the Girls' Committee are primarily to police the rallies and school and to control student conduct. .IAN DELBO, KATHY ANIXTER: Spring co-heads E17 SPRING GIRLS' SELF GOVERNMENT, FIRST ROXV: Thorley Turner, Judy XX'ehh, Diane Newberry, jan Delho, Kathy Anixter, Phyllis Kearns, Elaine Lyons, Stefanie Rodrigo, SECOND ROXV: Anne Reynolds, Robin Dinkelspiel, Anne Ninnis, Lori Giesecke, ,lill Clumeck, Gloria Burke, Paula Merret, Andrea Kaldor, Alice Hannel.
