In February a special election was called to decide an issue vital to the Tamalpais High School District, an issue which had failed twice before - the tax rate increase. After securing the available facts and being convinced of the importance of the increase to them- selves and the school district, a small but devoted group of students volunteered to campaign in support of the measure. As a community service, they helped adult workers circulate as much information to the voters as possible to aid the voters in mak- ing an intelligent decision. Student workers will remember the pledge cards and the hectic rush of calling at home after home. Their efforts were rewarded - the tax increase was passed.
