Though a small club, it is very active. Under the guidance of Mr. johnson, faculty sponsor, the group has gone on many Held trips. One trip was to Sausalito to see a model of San Francisco Bay that showed the movements of the Bay's waters. Another trip took the club to the Richfield Oil Refinery to observe the stages in processing oil. FIRST ROXV: Gerry Silverfield, Mike Griem, Barton Lane, Clinton Lane, Kim XY'est, Buzz Rigsbee, Henry Brainerd, Baxter Smillie. The Art Club was formed to provide an oppor- tunity for students interested in art to receive fur- ther experience. The club aided the publicity committee in mak- ing posters for various school affairs. B Activities for the year included visiting a silk screen plan in Sausalito and taking a trip to the Art Museum in San Francisco. All activities and projects undertaken by the Art Club were designed to give practical experience and help the members gain a great appreciation of art.
