REDWOUD H0 UR OCIETY Redwood Honor Society was founded to give recognition to students with extra curricular activities as well as with high scholastic standing. To be eligible for membership a student must have a B average and at least ten activity hours. Recognition is given for students who earn more activity hours. Hours may be earned by working on com- mittees, clubs, music programs, and student publications. The Society was organized during the second semester under the direction of advisers Mr. Pierce, Mrs. Meislin, and Mr. Miller, and held elections and an installation of oHicers. Barton I.ane, Daxitl A l Scholarship for Service is the motto of the California Scholar- I ' ship Federation. The purpose of this organization is to encourage high academic standards. The applications for the charter members Y 'ff in the organization were processed by the Scholarship Committee during the beginning of March, followed by the hrst election of officers. Under the direction of advisers Miss Mildred Mateer and Mr. Wlilliam Fdick, the organization contributed to the Seymour INIemo-- rial Scholarship Fund which awards C. S. F. scholarships to worthy students, conducted future freshmen around the campus on Fresh- men Orientation Day, and participated in other interschool affairs. The climax of the years program was the presentation of gold lamp pins to Life Members, seniors who had been members of C. S. F. four out of their last six semesters in high school. The REDXVOOD BARK, the school paper, is published every three weeks of the school year. Its news items, feature articles, and sports page keep the student body up to date on current events at Redwood. The REDXVOOD LOG is a memorial to the achievement of a successful beginning in the history of a new school.
