Senior Day Was ‘Qroovij’ Sodbuster of the Year Bonnie Woelful. appears to be completely overwhelmed at her award, a bale of straw. Senior Day '68, one of the final social gatherings of the class, began much like any other school day. Second hour, one of the highlights of the festivities took place when some of the seniors displayed their multiple talents at a variety show. This con- sisted of skits, imitations, solos, rock music, and various humorous awards presented to outstand- ing seniors. The class was then treated to a special luncheon in the cafeteria followed by two movies at the Falls Theater. The big day was completed by dining at the Valley Steak House. This day, one of the first of its kind, was immensely enjoyed by the entire class and could only be de- scribed as being the grooviest!” 28

They were selected on a basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Sophomore members are on proba- tion for one year, at the end of which they will become regular members of the society if they have upheld the qualities of NHS. Unlike previous years, this year’s ceremony included a guest speaker. Mr. Norman B. Ma- guire, Superintendent of Schools. Ren- ville. Minnesota, spoke on the impor- tance of Honor. In January. NHS sponsored a dance by the Rare faction to cover some of the costs of the organization.
