A Southern Plantation, a garden house, and a catwalk created an exciting and romantic atmosphere. Janet Hawton and John Kohler arrive amid a shower of rain. Prom teems A moonlit Southern Plantation” was the scene of the 1968 Junior-Senior Prom. The Juniors voted to have the local Traveler's Club serve as chauffeurs for the eve- ning as they have for the past three years. With an air of elegance the doormen awaited the cou- ples in ties and tails. The Grand March began at 8:00 and was led by Junior Class President Mary Kay Waugh and her escort Tom Klabunde. The Dave Whit- beck Quartet provided the music for the evening's dancing. A special touch was added by the sophomore waiters who came attired as Negro salves. They served punch and a buffet luncheon during the evening. After a quick change from formal wear to casual dress, the couples were taken to the Falls Theater where they saw Gambit.” Following the movie there was a dance and then break- fast at the VFW Hall. By 5:00 thecouples had been taken home-, exhausted, but with happy and fun Filled memories of an exciting evening. 26
