Queen Cathy graciously accepted and ex- pressed her thanks at being chosen 1966 Homecoming Queen. She very warmly invited the “56” alumni, parents, faculty, and students to the game with Worthington. Thursday’s activities included the annual girls’ football game which incidently the Jun- iors won. Also the bonfire was held with the candidates introduced, the co-captains and coach, and players presented. The night of the game was chilly but the loy- al fans and alumni braved the weather to see the team lose to Worthington by a score of 20- 6. After the game the dance was held with Roger Kodet and the Cards providing the mu- sic. It was a very successful Homecoming. Queen Cathy accepting her honor as the 1966 Homecoming Queen. Sue Moldcstad. SECOND ROW: Linda Klabunde, Charlotte Schmidt, Cathy “Trojans Of Troy Queen and attendants beautify the Senior float. Floats were designed in the weeks be- fore Homecoming. All the classes partici- pated with other clubs providing the extra units. The parade followed the coronation cer- emonies. It was lead by Queen Cathy and her attendants on the senior float. The eighth grade float placed first with “Tro- jans of Troy are Cardinals’ Toy.” The sophomore float placed second with the slogan “Build a Wall and Watch’em Fall.” The FFA float and the German float tied for third place. Both bands provided the music for the parade.

Rose. also Bert (NOT PICTURED). BACK ROW Jim Larson, Mr. Sands; Karen Willshire, Mrs. One Act Too Many Rose and Mr. Sands having one of their spats. “The Room” was a contemporary play. There was at times, a lack of communication between the players on stage. This re- presented the lack of communication in life, such as in world affairs. The main purpose of the play of this kind was to make you think. After being presented on November 18-19 in the Juniors’ “An Evening of Entertainment”, “The Room” was sent on to Dis- trict competition. Here it received an “A” rating and was cho- sen to represent District 10 at the Regional contest. The Re- gional was held at Hutchinson. The cast came home with a “B” rating. Everyone who worked on the plays deserved a hand for doing such a fine job and making it such a success. 22
