We The Seniors feel that Through the years we have attained not only knowledge but a whole hearted and spirited co-operation among the members of our class. Each year we have worked Toward bigger and better goals, in our freshman year it was the Homecoming bonfire, as Sophomores our proiect was selling Homecoming buttons, our Junior year we put on a successful class play and Prom. Now in our last year we are reaching To- ward an ultimate goal. One which requires knowledge and co-operation. The proiect we have undertaken is a four day Trip to Chicago which will require The full support of every mem- ber of the class. There are many obstacles which must be overcome, but we have chosen as our motto, Learn By Doing, and therefore are sure we can make this project a successful one. With the help of our Teachers, advisors, and friends, we hope not only to reach this goal but achieve all goals which will confront us in future years. As our Junior year draws to a close, we look back and see that this year has given us a greater sense of responsibility and a cause for more ma- ture thinking. We began our Junior year by spon- soring a successful homecoming dance and pre- senting for our class play the Broadway hit, Girl Crazy. As new problems confronted us we rose and met them, and now as our Senior year approaches we look forward to it with high hopes and great expectation to make it a happy ending to our high school years. 24 Be it jewel or toy, 3d -F R ,Kth R' 1, M' h- lst row-Carol Reynolds Jean Stark LaV n F row aye amey a ryn lege IC Q , 1 0 ael Schottenbauer, Darlene Raddfatz, Robert Riebel, Reynolds, Darlyne Sternhouse, Donn Stellrnacher, Helen Shigldsh Afdyfh Schmederg I 4th row-Thomas Sau-ter, Peter Schlemmer, 2nd POW-Elame Staff, Judy SChIT11d, BHfbS'F21 Allen Roalson, Stanley Schmidt, Lawrence Stein- Sommers, Carol Sparby, Ann Revier, Sylvia Sei- house' ert. ls-t row-Kay weeks, Dianne Wolthe, Ch-arlene Welch, Lewis Swvboda, Mary Winter, Janice Wvh- Thompson, Susan Symes. The presidents of these three classes are non-voting members of the council. Under the able guidance of Mr. Ramseth, the advisor, the council carries on many pro- iects. A few of these proiects are popping corn for all concessions, sponsoring a Father's Night for the fathers of boys playing football, Moth- er's Night for the mothers of the A Squad basketball boys, decorating the Christmas trees for the building, and carrying on a March of Dimes Drive. In we danced the night away JR.-SENIOR PROM 1954 All bedecked with formal dress we swam to the bottom of the sea to spend the evening Under the Sea with Neptune. Enclosed in a mammoth clam shell we found Clem Brau's orchestra playing a dreamy melody to put us in the mood. With Elaine Canady at the head of the decorating department the gym was arrayed with sea shells, star fish and beautiful coral scenes. Towering above us was Neptune's Castle and we converted an old sunken ship to a snack bar. Late in the evening the sophomore beach- combers served us a delicious Octopus Tentacles, Jelly Fish Salad, Sponges, Sea Foam lce Boats and our choice of Neptune's Brew or White Surf.
