RIF is a national non-profit program that makes kids want to read. Thousands of local community projects help kids help themselves to books. Each child in Redwater Elementary School was given four balloons to turn loose Wednes- day, May 20, 1981. Each balloon represented books received this year. In one balloon was the name and address of each child so that those who found the balloon would write to the sender of the balloon. The stu- dent who received the letter from the greatest distance was Shaun Walraven, whose balloon traveled to the Bahamas. s V U U' v .
