AMERICAN FIELD SERVICE SILKE KROGMANN Germany IVY CHAIN Redondo's exchange student to Spain 'Cf EDITH LETTERIELLO GUY LYNG Norway The American Field Service is a non-profit lintentionallyl organization which handles the correspondence and picks up the check of the biggest annual introdus and exodus of students in America. The purpose of this overwhelming generosity is to promote a better understanding between the differing cultures of this and other countries. This task is accomplished by intelligent, open-minded student contact. Redondo was the first high school in the bay area to inaugurate such a policy. We may also be proud of the fact that Redondo was the first high school in the bay area! The -infamous Ivy Chain of l958, which will be long re- membered for its speedy retreat under fire, stands herein, framed. The incident occurred when the lordly seniors, after their graduation ceremonies, pulled out their water-rods filled with Channel 45 and various other indelibles. The lvy Chain consists of our heroes of the Student Coun- cil, our respected iunior officers, and those residue chosen by their teachers for sincerity and serious study.
