TH DEP RTME hat was the theme of the Math Depart- ment for the 1986-87 school year? Accord- ing to the department head Mr. Everett Gilbert it was self disci- pline In order for students to un- derstand math they have to have self discipline. They have to work hard every day to learn what is being taught. Mr. Gilbert became once again the head of the math department in place of Mr. Pat Magdall who was head for six years. Mr. Gilbert had held that position before Mr. Magdall for 15 years. Many different math classes are offered at Redmond High School including Supplemental Develo- pemental and Senior Math First Year Algebra Geometry Interme- diate Algebra Honors Intermedi- ate Algebra, Math Analysis, Trigonometry and Calculus. One nice change for those who took or are planning to take Calculus was students can now get a college credit for the class where in the past people would have to take an- Were the wlldest and crazlest depart nt in the school' Mrs Hunter other math class while in college in order to receive a credit!
