Debaters Discuss Jury Changes Mrs. Barbara Maloney, adviser with her promising new dehaters and several veterans to give the group sup- port, attended several tournaments, including Washing- ton State College, Western Washington State College, Gonzaga University and Central Washington State Col- lege. The debate topic of the year was Resolved, that the jury system in the United States should be signifi- cantly changed , a topic that proved to be a challenge to these students involved to work towards this change. Competitive Speech's strong team consisted of seven returning speakers, all seniors. Redmond's Lettermen set out to give us a relief from the standard league games, a bas- ketball game between Juanita and Red- mond's faculty. The result was a close but well deserved victory for Redmond. Another game was scheduled against the U of W football team. A lasting contribution to the community was financing the sound system for Sea- bloom Stadium. Lettermen Bounce Us to Victori l.
