elm of 1959 Presentation of the prom for the seniors early in May was the big project of the year. Four committees worked on the prom. Decoration committee consisted of Chairman Carole Hancock, Georgia Elliott, Marvin Gage, Marlin Simmons, Helen Wareing, Pat Warner and Van Zitek. Kathy Jordan headed the refreshment committee, with Marie Bees- ley, Deryl Ferguson, Dianne Haynes and Pete Hutchinson. Chairman Cathie Lanthorn directed the entertainment committee of Janice Boyer, Petra Elster, Karen Houston and Gail Tyson. Program committee included Beverly Casteel, Honora Daugherty, Bill Peden, Bud Raske and Janet Weise. Juniors decorated and served as ushers at commencement exercises. Lorraine Bates represented the junior class as football princess and Ruthora Mills was in the barn dance court. One after-game dance was sponsored by the juniors. As a unit, the junior class spent two days together in the study hall taking Iowa Tests. Individual pictures are reviewed on the next three pages, alphabetically. Students not pictured will be listed at the end of this section.
