Norton is the registrar and prepares attendance records for the state department of education. He is general assist- ant to the superintendent and is in charge of the school during the superintendent's absence. Mrs. Marguerite Lowry, dean of girls, and William H. Fisher, dean of boys, check daily attendance and absentees must clear absences through the deans' offices. They help with counselling students for registration, cooper- ate with legal authorities in enforcing com- pulsory school attendance, and help secure scholarships to institutions of higher learn- ing.
