Football rally squad tryouts are held in the spring, and the squad elected takes over during the following year's football season. Basketball rally squads are W elected about two weeks after the close of football season. Both rally squads did a good deal to- ward boosting school spirit of the stu- dents and the team. Barbara Bartlemay, Sally Steers, Eunice Wareing Members of the rally squads as of September, 1953, organized a Rally Squad Club in February. The purpose of this club is to promote good sports- manship in the various sports, in school activities, and in following school rules. The aim is to better the morale, school Waddell dl Y! feadm spirit, and sportsmanlike attitude of the student body. The Rally Squad Club sponsored the decision made by the Student Council that beginning with the 1954-55 rally squad elections, the squad elected will hold office for a full school year.
