Sz'uJen1'6awwdf250wcZ16'luJf4' Directing club activities is the main purpose of the Student Council, which is made up of student body officers, class representatives, and school pub- lication editors. All school dance forms, complete with names of committee members and chap- erones, must be turned into the Student Council to be O.K.'d. Directing student body assemblies was taken over by the council this year under a system by which the clubs and classes put on the assemblies. The annual kick-off party was planned and sponsored by the student council the first week of school. A lot of work is put into the party, and it is a big help in getting new students acquainted with the school and student body. Two banquets are given each year for the combined Central Oregon Stu- dent Councils by a member town. This year they were given by Prineville and Bend. Reports on the different Student Councils' activities are heard at these banquets and plans for future meetings are discussed.
