GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The G.A.A. has had a very busy season in soccer, basketball, tumbling, volleyball, and baseball. Members could always participate in outside sports, such as bicycling, badminton, tennis, bowling, horseback riding, hiking, skating and dancing. Prineville was hostess for the annual G.A.A. play day. The biggest event of the year was the Girls' Gym Frolic given in the gym before a large audience March 22. G.A.A. OFFICERS Doris Grubb , . CREATIVE WRITING Hidden literary talent brought out in the creative writing class under the supervision of Mrs. Maude Lee resulted in the production of And the Bud Blossoms, literary magazine containing the student's work. The staff includes: Editor Shirley Tuck Business Managers Moray Mansfield Assistant Editors Joan Hodecker Janice Davis Joyce Davis Typists , Edna Jean Hallowell, Art Editor , ,, , Shirley Merry Dorothy Robinson, Ethel Anderson Others of the class acted as a supervisory board which selected the articles to be published. lIONOR SOCIETY A chapter of the Honor Society was founded last year in Redmond Union High School. It is a chapter of the national organization of the high schools all over the nation. The Honor Society stands for character, scholarship, service and leader- ship. In order to be selected for this society a student must have a grade average of a two and have attended Redmond High for at least a year. He must be either a junior or a senior. The sophomores can become active the second semester as probationary members. If they keep their grade average up and the teachers consent, they may become regular members their junior year. The council to pick these members is made up of the faculty. The pin is a gold torch with the four ideals the club stands for engraved on it.
