This building was consfrucfed fo replace fhe gymnasium fhaf burned lasf spring. The sfruc- rure was builf by fhe Julius Johnson Consfrucfion Company of Porfland and was paid for by money delegafed for fhaf purpose in a special elecfion lasf May. The maple, spring floor which is 80 by lOO feef is fhe newesf fhing in flooring for gymnasiums. The enfire building is covered by a large. dome-shaped roof fha? is complefely lined wifh fire sheefing. The main room is bordered by fhe boys' showers. dressing room, fearn room. equipmen+ room and office on fhe norfh side and by fhe girls dressing rooms wifh showers, anofher office and a music room on lhe soufh side. The enfrance lobby on fhe soufh-easf corner leads info a long corridor which runs fhe full lengfh of fhe easf end of fhe sfrucfure. One of fhe ofher oufsfanding feafures of This building is fhe large door, seven by I2 feef, which was builf info fhe wesf end of fhe gymnasium.
